Just Us 12 Times ~ North Oaks, Minnesota Child & Family Photographer

This post is a bit late because February was a bit short.  Today the kids and I (and dad) went ice skating.  I hadn’t been on skates for 20 plus years!  I’m curious how sore I’ll be tomorrow.  Anyway the rink had these cool little walker things so my daughter really took off with it.  My son was a bit more apprehensive  which was fine cause hello worst mom of the year, I forgot their helmets!!!!   Anyway I managed to get into two images that weren’t too blurry.  My son took one and my husband the other.  The funny thing was my husband was going back on the ice and I said, “ok I’m going to grabbed my camera so I can get a few shots and I want to get some of me skating with kids”  he says “ok well you just let me know”  I’m like “this is me letting you know”.  Was I not clear?  I hate that I have to ask to be in pictures because then I feel vain about it.  But I’ve learned that’s what I have to do.  Then of course there were some cute ones that were blurry.  Oh wow look at that cool wall behind us?  jeez…….  Anyway here we are . . .

  1. So cute! I love your comment about feeling like it’s vain to ask to have your picture taken. I feel that way too, especially when my husband gives me grief about making him stop what he is doing to take the photo, but this challenge is showing me how important it is to be a part of these memories! Can’t wait to see your post next month!
